Guangzhou Insighter® Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is a globally leading research-driven feed additive company founded by Dr. Xianfeng Peng in 2008. The company focuses on the research and development of high-value patented compounds for feed additives and new veterinary drugs. It has established chemical and integrated biology laboratories in the Guangzhou Science City International Enterprise Incubator and the South China New Drug Creation Center. Additionally, Insighter® has built an animal experimental farm covering nearly 300 acres in Nanxiong, Guangdong, and constructed a 10,000 square meter raw material factory and a 10,000 square meter feed additive formulation factory in the Nanxiong Fine Chemical Industrial Park in Guangdong (both have obtained dual certifications of ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO22000 Food Safety System).
Insighter® brings together nearly 30 multidisciplinary professional researchers, covering fields such as veterinary pharmacology, preventive veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical chemistry, chemical engineering, animal nutrition, drug analysis, toxicology, and genetic engineering. In the Chinese feed additive and animal health protection industry, Insighter® is a pioneer in the molecular design (including lead compound screening and optimization), synthesis, and screening testing of various innovative feed additives and veterinary drug compounds. As of June 2023, Insighter® has cumulatively filed 236 invention patents domestically and internationally, with 102 authorized, including 71 in China, 31 overseas, and 32 under the PCT.
Insighter® was recognized as a national high-tech enterprise in 2014 and approved by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology to establish the Guangdong Provincial New Feed Additive Discovery Engineering Technology Research Center in 2017. It was named a Guangzhou Agricultural Leading Enterprise and a Guangdong Province Specialized and Innovative Small and Medium Enterprise in 2021. In December 2020, Insighter® licensed its anticoccidial compound invention patent to the leading multinational animal health company in the United States for three years for $1.5 million, marking the first time a Chinese livestock and veterinary industry company achieved a patent technology license-out.
